Our task as Chaplains is to share our love with those with whom we come into contact. To accomplish this we need to build a relationship with those people so that they trust us, welcome us and when things are not going well confide in us. Whether those we talk to know it or not we do this because we care and we care because we care about all people with sympathy and empathy because we have all suffered and been in pain and because in a very real way they are our brothers and sisters. It is important that those we serve know that we do this because we are Christian but it is just as important that they know that we would still help them even if we were not Christian because of who we are and because of who they are.
