Must Read

Hands down, this is one of the best books I've read. I wept throughout my reading of it. If your heart beats for the lost and missions, you should read this book.

Passionate

Who amongst us truly knows how God's heart beats for the lost? He is passionate about their eternal destiny, and we? Reading this book will shake you with an awareness of the need the world has of Christ's work. In one of the chapters Oswald Smith deals with some of our faulty mission ideas, and proposes that we reach the world the same way that the Apostle Paul did. He also talks extensively about a unique money-raising idea for missions, called faith-promise offering. Still, one of the most impacting parts of this book was the inclusion of various quotes from different missionaries. One of them was: "I cared not where or how I lived, or what hardships I went through, so that I could but win souls to Christ." David Brainherd. You may not agree with all presented in this book, but you will be blessed if you glean from the passion that Oswald J. Smith writes with.
