Riley Bright has lost his girlfriend and is stalled in a dead-end career when he joins his buddy Chick Malor for an evening in the watering holes of Atlanta's fabled Poncey-Highlands District. He awakens the next morning with a hangover to find he and Chick on a spur-of-the-moment road trip to the Georgia coast.

From there they set off on a romp down the South Atlantic coast to Key West with a colorful and off-beat cast of characters for the annual Fantasy Fest Carnival.

Events take some unexpected turns that find them pursued by the local police as they spirit a purloined pig down Duval Street in the carnival parade. The chase culminates on a dark tropical beach amid revelers, smugglers, the Coast Guard and DEA.
