A book for baby boomers and others not content to accept an unfulfilling future, ""The Caterpillar That Roared"" is aimed at helping people discover--or rediscover--their gifts and passions so they can meaningfully employ them in the next stage of their lives.
This book is amazing and gratifying! It opened my eyes to the real responsibilites and obligations we have to ourselves and to each other. The lessons are clear-cut. Believing in yourself, when others may not necessarily, and having the resolution and strength to follow through with your own convictions. It is also the understanding that the endeavor to collect material wealth and retiring in luxury isn't always the most satisfying, but a keen awareness of what you do for others is where the quest for true happiness lies. This is a funny, humorous, and clever way of examining the positive affects we can instill in our lives and the resolution to finding true fulfillment.

Everyone contemplates being successful and self-fulfilling in their lives, but there are many who never master their own realities, or pursue their real zest for life. Often times, it is because we become limited and weak in our pursuits. Through this book we are allowed to experience a personal transformation, helping us realize that it is only by serving others that we are able to discover the many ways to overcome our own struggles in life. Living a life that is full and rewarding is an attainable possibility. This is truly an uplifting and inspirational story that is guaranted to motivate and bring pleasure to everyone who reads it. Through parables, it is easy to instill the values our children will be able to take with them at a young age and beyond. My only regret is that this book was not written sooner!
Uplifting!

This book resonated with both the child and the adult in me. While I super enjoyed the well-written adventurous and page-turning drama, the adult in me is inspired to find out how my own life lessons can teach me to use my wisdom to mentor and benefit others.... Uplifting!
Full of Doubt

As a young professional who has been in the workforce just long enough to be discouraged... this book came at the perfect time for me. There was no time in my life when I felt more invincible than my graduation day of college. Yes, a bit scared, but no doubt full of encouragement and ideas to impact the world. For me it was a few years into "the real world" that I realized all of my hopes and dreams of impacting lives would not be met with the simple effort to be good at my job. And through several years of trying new things, including having my own business, I found myself 10 years into my career and adult life feeling lost and wounded at the failures I had faced. The story of Antonio the caterpillar and his brave venture to pursue something more struck me most when Aldo was crushed by the wagon. I identified with Antonio when he wanted to go back to his ordinary and comfortable life & ignore his calling to something significant. It was deeply encouraging for me to see his journey beyond that initial failure. It helped me believe in my heart that living passionately is too valuable not to pursue due to any fear that may get in the way.
Enlightening Book To Help My Work Transition

After being in Corporate America for the last 20-ish years, I decided to quit my well-paying IBM job, and figure out a new career for myself. I greatly enjoyed the Caterpillar That Roared because it came at a perfect time for me. It was a light-hearted read that nicely laid out 13 easily-understood lessons that I was immediately able to apply directly to my work-transition situation. In addition to using this book as a tool to help guide me through this difficult personal transformation, I utilized the even more important tools offered by Joe Sturniolo's ROAR 'Awakening the Lion Within' organization, [...]. I'm a strong believer in the ROAR concepts and, with ROAR as my guide, I've discovered that "there are few fears greater than leaving the place where we're comfortable, but there are few rewards more meaningful and purposeful." Leaving IBM was extremely difficult, but in this past year, I've worked to discover what my true gifts and passions in life are with the guidance of this book...now, I'm directing that passion towards leading a more meaningful life. I'm very grateful to the authors for the book's simple but powerful message...one that I think anyone could learn from.
