Standing no taller than three and a half feet, what ten-year-old Toby Jones lacks in size he certainly makes up for in his larger-than-life personality. A lover of all things outdoors, Toby would happily spend his days in the forest that surrounds his remote Australian home just as much as he would chatting to animals, big and small. Making friends with the native animals, Toby often surprises his Mum and Dad with a new addition to the family, although his older sister Claire is never as impressed with the new arrivals as Toby is.

Although Claire doesn't share Toby's love of house guests of the animal kind, she does love to join her brother on one of his little adventures. Whether it be on their farm or on a family outing, the pair often don their sleuthing hats and put their minds together to solve a mystery of one type or another.

Whilst this has seen the pair have quite a few close shaves over the years, Toby's cheeky good nature has saved them both from the wrath of their parents and the law and given the young boy the opportunity to make worldwide connections whilst having the greatest of adventures that any child could wish for.
