Jeff Kess is on a long journey home on a rainy Friday evening. While at a rest stop, a stranger interrupts him from a nap asking for a ride. The stranger steals Jeff's car, which leads Jeff on a thrilling adventure to a nearby town, where he encounters the thief, a sheriff, two long-time friends, a troubled relationship, a bartender, and two beautiful women who are all involved in an escapade of danger and romance. It all takes place as he tries to recover the red sedan.
