The Careless Travels of Regulus Elk [Large Print]

By Essie S Nix

"The Sagei Forest was a lie."

It was eerie. It was dangerous. No one entered unless they wanted the worst.

Once, magic was part of the whole world. Then came the Great Fsaire War, a conflict that divided humanity from the magical beings known as Xerdias. The Sagei Forest became a magical barrier separating two worlds, and humans lost all connection to the magic they once knew.

That was until Regulus Elk, a frightened orphan fleeing a wolf attack, stumbled into the forest and crossed into Ogynodtha, a world thought to be lost forever.

Forced into a journey he never expected, Regulus encounters Indra Wikfray, a water nymph prince searching for his own purpose. Bound together by a mysterious magical connection, they uncover secrets about Regulus' past, the truth behind humanity's exile, and the events that shaped the war between their worlds.

The Careless Travels of Regulus Elk is a character-driven queer fantasy about identity, belonging, found family, magical bonds, and discovering that even the most lost souls can find a place to call home.
