Every parent with a child in sports MUST read this book!

This is a short, simple book that reinforces the little things parents sometimes lose sight of, whether it's yelling at referees, comparing your child to another child, or not focusing on the most important factor: our child. "The Car Ride Home" is so great because it reminded me (without pointing fingers and making me feel like an awful parent)of the little things I can do to improve my child's short experience in youth sports. It reminded me that I can have a great influence on whether sports are positive or negative for my child, as well as on my child's entire life. As I read the book I also felt proud of some of the things the book reminded me that I was doing right. Anyone who has a child in youth sports MUST read this book. It will improve your experience as well as your relationship with your child. It's short, it's simple, and it's already improved the relationship I have with my child and his experience in sports.
