Great How-to Book

What really sets this book apart from other craft and how to books is the author's notes from personal experience about different things that she has tried. For example, she details how wicks are supposed to work and what happened when she tried to make her own. She has a wonderfully succinct style and includes just enough historical background to keep it moving, interesting and usable as a resource when you are actually at the table.

Candlemaker

This book was so helpful to me. I wanted to make candles and I didn't know a thing! It was easy to understand and it answered all my questions! I now know enough to actually start making my own candles!

This was a very well written book. I have been trying to make candles for about a year, now. The book answered alot of my questions and explained why I have been having problems with certain kinds of candles. I recommend this book very strongly.

What a wonderful book!! It is my "Candle Bible"

This is a wonderful , well-written book that is so very easy to understand! I found that the math formulas in the text made the process very simple to understand! Ms. Oppenheimer has a light-hearted way of informing that conveys her love of the craft while somehow managing to let you know that she was once a novice too!
