The Candidate

The third chapter in the Jill Lewis Trilogy continues with fine writing and a great story. This latest story can easily be read and enjoyed even if you haven't read the first two, which of course you really should as each has exciting stand alone plots. The third story takes place in a typical small midwestern town with interesting characters and locations, many places almost sound familiar. The Candidate is good reading, Susan and Robin did another great job.

A FANTASTIC TRILOGY!!!

THE CHASE, THE REPLACEMENT, and THE CANDIDATE are a fantastic trilogy!!! I adored THE CHASE and couldn't wait for the sequel. Literally, I was waiting with bated breath. THE REPLACEMENT met everyone of my expectations, and it was wonderful. I was so excited to read THE CANDIDATE, as I have loved the characters and become invested in their "literary" lives! It's like reading a great book that you don't want to end, as the characters have become "friends." THE CANDIDATE is just great, and I loved it! If you like murder mysteries, you'll love these books. I also love plots that are intriguing and continue to surprise me, and that's what THE CHASE, THE REPLACEMENT and THE CANDIDATE do. I plan to give copies of all three books to my friends as gifts. I love this author. She is such a great storyteller, and I feel like I'm in the middle of the action! And as terrfying as her plots can be, she still writes with an optimism about life that I really appreciate. I loved THE CHASE, THE REPLACEMENT, and especially THE CANDIDATE, which is a perfect third book in the series. Does it have to only be a trilogy? How about the fourth book????

THE CANDIDATE is a wonderful weekend read that left this reader very satisfied. Well written it has romance and mystery. Jill Lewis is caught between the love for two men, lucky girl. But her love for solving a mystery will always come first. The authors combine folklore and historical facts for a thrilling read. The end of the book scared me nearly to death as Jill fights for her life from a madman determined to silence her and keep the lake's secret. I will never look at a lake in exactly the same way again.
