The Camps of 2029: Forced to Do a Job He Hates for the New Government

After being caught up in a roundup phase of the coup and sent to a re-education camp, Eric Blare is trained in Alt Speak. He hates his job at the Ministry of Truth. He hates being separated from his wife and son. He hates what he is forced to do; to cover up what the party has done to people. He hates changing records, news and erasing people from existence. He goes along with rewriting history hoping it will allow him to be back with his family. He hates pledging loyalty to those responsible for what happened to his country. It is as if they know his mind is corrupted by memories of the truth when they torture him in the Ministry of Justice.
When he finds out what's been happening to his wife, he is devastated. He'd use the special training as an assassin he got in re-education for revenge, but that would have his wife involved. Using the system he hates allows him to have revenge and stop what has been happening to his wife. Unfortunately, the system still sent him back to room 107 again after he is injured in a government terrorist attack. The worst of it, was knowing he erased many who'd likely been held in the same tiny torture cell he occupies.
