On a scenic ride in the Colorado Rockies, Alice and Charles Malone drive through the small town of Redstone. Alice intuitively senses that they will live in a certain house there. Charles struggles with his doubts, but a few days later, when the house comes up for sale, he unexpectedly feels drawn to it. They take a risk, buy the house and move to Redstone, dubbing their experience 'The Calling'.
