The Bull Terrier is a breed that is a part of the 'Terrier' family of dogs. The breed was first registered to the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1885 and is thought to have originated in around 1850. The Bull Terrier is thought to be a cross with the Bulldog and a now-extinct white breed of English Terrier. The breed was later cross with the Spanish Pointer to increase its size.
