Buffalo Slaughter It Should Be

My advice when it comes to this book is: If you are an avid Zane Grey fan and collector, then get this book. Otherwise, get the new unexpurgated version of "The Thundering Herd" published as "Buffalo Stampede" which is far superior to this adaptation or the original. What this book is made from are excerpts from the original "The Thundering Herd" along with added short stories. And these short stories, John Silver’s Revenge AKA Call of the County; On Location; California Red, a selection from Forlorn River; and The Kidnapping of Collie Younger; can be found in other collections which are far more suited than this one. Yes, overall, I like these short stories very much, that is why I gave the rating I did, but save yourself and get the "new" book.
