Needing to save money is a harsh realization that we all come to at some point in our lives. But how do you do it on a day to day basis? I grew up the adopted only child with two parents whom cared for me, put a roof over my head, food in the kitchen and gave me all the love in the world. With that came little "want" for anything. Meaning, yes I was a spoiled only child. Now, in my thirties, grown with six children, one amazing grandchild and a spouse who works in civil service I can tell you I can tell you it has taken blood sweat and tears to own the home (and pay the mortgage that comes with it) we come home to every evening. To be blessed to cook in the kitchen that holds the food to feed the five mouths that still live under our roof. Truth be told, I want to share my story, and share these tips in the hopes that someone can learn from my mistakes, selfishness and well, vulnerability.
