As the hunt for him grows desperate and violent, the dream's architecture becomes increasingly unstable, unpredictable, and outlandish. When the dreamer goes missing in his own creation, a family of misfits must band together, defend their home from the encroaching horrors of gentrification, and solve the mystery on everybody's mind: where is the brother of Maggie Brood, and what will happen when he finally wakes up?
