Luther's Writings: In 1543, Luther published works calling for the burning of synagogues, the destruction of prayer books, the restriction of rabbis, and the confiscation of money. These matched Nazi actions of stealing, destroying, and forcing Jewish labor.

Nazi hatred for Jewish people was a foundational, core tenet of Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist (Nazi) Party's ideology, characterized by an extreme, pseudo-scientific form of racial antisemitism that evolved into a state-sponsored genocide known as the Holocaust. Unlike previous, historical forms of religious or social persecution, the Nazi version was based on the false belief that Jews were a distinct, inferior, and parasitic race posing an existential threat to the "Aryan" German population.
