Don't read it before you go to bed

While it's billed as young adult lit, it's not for kids. My Mom is reading it and has decided (as I did) that it's not smart to read it after dark. Lots of complicated plot twists, a few really disturbing scenes that might make you jumpy, and lots of wonderful descriptions of a scene in the deep south with family secrets aplenty.
