Howard B. Childs is a native of El Dorado, Arkansas. He was born in1932. Education background, he has a B.A. Degree from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas and a B.D. Degree from Perkin's School of Theology, Dallas, Texas. Mr. Childs did graduate work at New College, Edinburgh, Scotland. Mr. Childs admits that his verse writings, as well as, other types prose are merely a hobby along with reading and this interest in nature and people.The Poetry is both serious and light employing a variety of subjects and themes-- a true potpourri. Mr. Childs is married to Betty Seabolt Martin Childs. He has two sons, David and Drew from his first marriage to Janet Barr Childs. Betty, his wife, has four children, Robert, Dan, Cale and Alison, by her first marriage.Mr. and Mrs. Childs live in Winnsboro, Louisiana, where Mr. Childs has been a Hospice Chaplin for seven years. Mr. Childs has also been a United Methodist pastor for forty seven years. His vivid imagination and writing style are unique and a delight.
