The beach community of Venice, CA is stunned when a local girl's body washes up on its shore. The cause of death is no mystery. Leti Molloy, a 26 yr old artist, was shot in the head execution style. Joe Rivas, a special forces combat veteran and experienced homicide detective is assigned to the case, a case with seemingly no motive and no leads. Joe, also a local, reluctantly teams up with Leti's mother, and Oscar "Oz" Navarro, Leti's godfather, to solve her murder. The hunt leads to Kosovo and big Pharma and is joined by Jenny's mother, an Apache who grew up on the rez in Arizona.
