The Brave Little Girl Who Wore a Mask To School

This is story about a little girl that wanted to wear a mask to school to shield her vulnerable family from the COVID-19 virus, and the courage it took to be different. All of our lives have been affected by the global pandemic that hit the world in 2020 and we have all had our challenges, worries and tragedies to overcome. Our family had 3 small children that were born 8 weeks early with had weak lungs and no one could tell us if they would be safe should they contract COVID-19. So we did what we had to keep our family safe and locked down for as long as we could. However the day came when we no longer had the option to home school our little girl and she was forced to return after an absence of 7 months. When asked how she felt about going back to school she promptly replied "I'm not going back without a mask" and she did just that. Despite the fact that she was the only one in school to wear a mask all day, she has kept her mask on and continued to do her bit to not only protect herself and others but also her little brothers. As a family we are just so proud of her and how she is still shining through this incredibly hard situation and sacrifice. It is our hope that her bravery will inspire others, not just in the same situation but anyone who is faced with a situation that forces them to be different.
