Great read--makes history of WW II come alive.

One of the most interesting books on World War II. The book tells the stories of what a Soldier-Marine-Sailor experienced in World War II. This is from the bottom up--not about the strategic planning from our Commanders, but about how the average GI lived, experienced battle, and survived to return home and begin their careers. Truly the stories of "The Greatest Generation". Highly recommended.
