Beautiful tale of facing your fears . . .

Thought my 61/2 year old would be too young for this, but it opened up a nice discussion about how Ping faces his fears and reaps amazing and satisfying rewards because he chose to be brave. Amazing illustrations - be sure to only get it in hardback cover. The dragons are beautiful, but may be scary to young children. Religious Beliefs Note: This is an Asian tale and there are references to the dragons who live in Heaven. We are Catholics so that differs vastly from our belief, but my son is old enough to understand that different cultures and religions have their own perceptions of divinity and that everyone should celebrate what they believe. I only mention it if you plan to read this to a younger child that the idea of dragons in a Christian heaven may be frightening - even though the dragons are kind.
