Kit Winthrop is an expert at hiding things. He knows how to hide objects, hurts, and secrets. After moving with his mother into an old farmhouse on the outskirts of town, Kit has even learned how to hide away the memory of his father, who is suddenly, crushingly, gone. Now his supposed father has put his mother and their neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Meng under a mysterious spell, and for some reason he wants to bring Kit down to the wishing well... In order to save those he loves, Kit must challenge this dark stranger. The creature from the well, however, has no intention of letting him go.
