Are they a dying breed or just harder to find? It makes you remember the sellers in your neighborhood from childhood. I still have a 10,000+ book library, most of which came from now-defunct sellers. I have also done some collecting, such as “Star Ship on Saddle Mountain,” by Atlantis Hallam, Hardcover – January 1, 1955. I have 20+ translations of The Iliad. One of the presenters, Nicholas D. Lowry, was on “Antiques Roadshow.” I always wondered why Helene Hamph, author of “84, Charing Cross Road,” purchased books in London when there were so many good bookstores locally. OK, I admit I do buy some books and films from abroad. I have a region-free DVD player. Everyone will get something useful from this documentary.
