Still a pleasure in an electronic age

This is a lovely book, with the birthdays of authors, a well-chosen quotation for each day (by an author born that day) as well as a lavish selection of art with a literary theme. I've had my copy for years (and am pleased to be able to buy another as a present for a friend charmed by my copy). There is a real pleasure as you populate the pages with your own friends' and family birthdays, read the relevant quotation and see who else was born that day. In an age of electronic reminders, this is the perfect way to remember birthdays away from the computer... A simple idea, charmingly executed.
