The Book of Weapons takes its inspiration from the Epistle to the Ephesians. The war is detected by perception through revelation of the mystery of the faith. This exegesis expands the theme of the Divine Armour incorporating the law and prophets and apocryphal texts. The Revelation of St.John, Book of Jasher and Book of Enoch feature heavily in this text. Origen understood the allegorical nature of the holy scriptures referencing Paul's teaching to the Galatians, in which he compared Mt.Sinai to the bond woman Hagar. These represented Jerusalem below, the mother of those under the law. Jerusalem above is the mother of the Christians, set at liberty. This book cleaves to that true division which opens the mystery.
