Best short introduction to soccer

Anyone who wants to know how soccer works -- and why it's always so appealing -- really needs to search out this excellent introductory volume, one of the first to appear in this country (it was published in the early '70s). Domini discusses the role of each player, general strategy, and never fails to convey his great enthusiasm for this endlessly engaging sport. A ruleboo, guidelines for laying out a field, and general advice for setting up a team are all included. The first book remains the best!
