The Book of Mormon is the record of a fallen people (from the pre-Columbian new world, the Americas) translated from gold plates by Joseph Smith, Junior. The intent of this record is to testify of Jesus Christ as the savior of the world. The defining event of this record is the witnesses of those who were visited by Christ in the flesh after His resurrection testifying of His divinity. This edition is newly formatted but based off of the original 1830 edition of The Book of Mormon cherished by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Its new cover is a playful way to bring the Book of Mormon to life, roughly resembling the gold plates from which it was translated.
