The Bonnyclabber is George Chambers' first published "novel" and appeared in its entirety in Curt Johnson's December magazine in 1972. The text is a medley of short prose pieces, poems, dialogues, and illustrations (by William B. Mulstay) aggregated into a true novel mini-novel-"a novel about getting it together" (Ronald Sukenick). Considered as a unified and novel clabber, The Bonnyclabber really is a bonny clabber. -Joe David Bellamy GEORGE CHAMBERS (1931-2015) was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951-1954.
