Wow alright this is pretty cool.

I really liked this book. It made me put my hand to my head in disappointment in the way that only a stubbornly foolish heroine can make me do. I simultaneously love and hate our MC. I love the world Shannon has designed and the imagery I get from these characters, but I got disappointed at some of the plot choices. I felt like it somehow blended Victorian, ghoulishness, and modern/postmodern elements in a way I didn’t think possible. Author Shannon, you certainly have my attention. Did I like that little trope you threw in at the end, no. But, am I still getting the next book in the series? Yes. Yes, I most definitely am. I need to see the rest of this world you’ve designed for us.
