Absolutely life changing

Such an eye-opening dive into PTSD, who it affects, and how to treat it. Superbly written and easy for any reader to comprehend. I've gotten several copies for friends and family. I'd give it more stars if I could.

A Must Read

This book really helped me understand the connection to my mental health and how it goes hand in hand with my body and how I feel physically. It has a lot of medical terminology but this is one of the top 5 books I have ever read. It really helped me understand myself and my body

Phenomenal read that everyone needs

This book is practically my bible and made me decide to get my PhD. It gave me a deeper understanding of who I was and why I responded the way I do in certain situations. If you have trauma or PTSD this book is so validating and gives you so much perspective. This isn't so much a step by step "self help book" rather a "here's how your body reacts to bad things, you should fix it and here's why". Its one of the only books I recommend.

Great book

Really captivating subject and written so well! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to resonate with the words presented in this book

Everyone should read this book!

This book has changed the way I look at trauma in my life as well as those I work with. I highly recommend this book to anyone working with trauma survivors even outside of a therapeutic medical setting (homeless shelters, human trafficking, etc.) or even anyone who works closely with the body itself in any realm. It will bring greater understanding to your life. All in all, I learned a lot from this book and cannot sing it's praises enough.
