The real Indiana Jones

The Blue Eyed Shan is a wonderful book that takes place in the orient, most likely southeast Asia just prior to, during and after WWII. The main character is an anthropologist that finds these wonderful indigenous people and lives with them for a time. It is very exciting and well written. I wish I could find more recent stuff written by Stephen Becker. His characters predate the Indiana Jones series. They are wonderful
