The Blue Book was written to give the Black Community a better insight into the inner workings of the police and how knowing your basic Constitutional Rights can help you navigate through the maze of misinformation.Giving you the power to control and not be controlled."The Talk" Is a set of rules that is passed down from generation to generation in the Black community. The purpose of "The Talk" was so our younger generation of men and women understood how to deal with law enforcement and what to do when they were stopped by someone of authority. The problem with "The Talk" is we've been taught to be polite, cooperative, and compliant. In doing so, we inadvertently are gave up our basic Constitutional Rights. All the components of "The Talk" are great when all is equal, but that's NOT how America works. It's NOT how an informed American deals with the police. We can't play the game if we don't know the rules. We can't move forward without playing by the rules. It's time to learn the game.
