A king would be made, a traveler surprised, swords emptied of spirits and then refilled and a mother comforted for the loss of a daughter. A prince would realize what he could do and refrain from doing was the most important part of his life. His oaths and determination was what he would use to see him through his part of the struggle much like everyone else. That would take him back to his home and what he had vowed to do even before being swept up in the effort to save all involved. That would be enough for him.
