Gothic vampire romance, unusually good combination

Selena D'Agostino is a writer of teen fiction. Her last two books have been less successful than the rest. Her agent Anne suggests that she take a vacation. As if by magic, an invitation arrives from some unknown relatives on her late mother's side of the family, the DeMontforts. They want her to stay with them at their castle in the north of England. She knows little or nothing about this side of the family, so decides to visit and explore her roots. She is met by a mute servant named Derek. All of the servants are mute! Her cousin Eugenia seems nice, but obsessed by her geneology project. Her son Philip is very handsome, as is the other cousin Kieran. There is something very strange about their relationship, and they seem to be competing over her! Soon it is apparent that she is somewhat a prisoner of her relatives. They are intercepting her mail, and when she escapes, the villagers won't help anyone from "the castle". Who are these people and what has she gotten herself into? This was an engrossing read. It is also relatively short, so I was able to read it from start to finish in one sitting. The characters are very vivid, and you find yourself empathising with the heroine. The ending was a surprise, and I look forward to a sequel.

One Of The BEST Vampire Romances I Have Ever Read!!!!!

I happened to look through my books and saw one that I had bought a while ago and had put aside for some crazy reason. The Blood Waltz by Ria Dimitra is INCREDIBLE! I read it in one afternoon and could not put it down. :)Selena D'Agostino writes teenage novels. She is burned out and desperately needs a vacation. Ironically, a mysterious letter arrives from England. Relatives that she has never known, invite her to come to their family castle. This is simply too good of an opportunity to pass up and she goes off to England completely unaware that her life is about to change for all time!Once she arrives, she soon realizes that her relatives are not what they seem to be. They harbor a terrifying secret and will not let her leave the castle.Despite her increasing fear she is drawn with an alarming degree of fascination to Kieran Ramsey. He is lean, dark and so seductive. He lures her using her own powerful desires. Yet, Kieran is a man of secrets and deep longings that will not be denied. And once unleashed, they could prove fatal to Selena's soul!I devoured this book like a box of chocolates!! The sensual tension between Selena and Kieran kept me rivetted in the chair until I had finished the entire book.Kieran was the type of hero I love to read about. He was incredibly handsome, powerful and his sinful beauty drew Selena inspite of her growing fear. She could not resist Kieran's sensual allure and neither could I! What an alpha male! This is the one book that should NOT be passed up! Run to your local bookstore and allow Kieran's insatiable hunger for Selena to enrapture you! I eagerly await more books from this incredible author! Highly recommended!!!!

A Must Read Book

Ms. Dimitra as a incomparable talent for creating a compelling passionate page turner. She presents a thrilling novel, a suspenseful tale of family intrigue. Can't wait for the next installment of the DeMontfort family.

A Novel that is as Alluring as it is Haunting ...

Ria Dimitra has created a haunting Gothic romance that pulls you into her protagonist's dilemma. What starts out as a simple vacation for Selena quickly evolves into a romantic nightmare (often literally) that pulls her soul in many directions at once as she contemplates the bizarre nature of her distant relatives in England. Mystery and foreshadowing are handled adeptly and keep the reader involved. Ms. Dimitra's treatments of Gothic and vampire themes are fresh and alluring, not to mention unsettling. You would be remiss not to read this book.

Loved It !

I just finished this and I loved it. I was drawn into the story right away and did not put it down until I finished it. It had interesting twists and turns and I especially liked the surprise at the end. I hope Ms. Dimitra will continue with more stories like this one.
