The New York Times bestselling author of the Summerhouse series crafts an inspirational love story that has "plenty of romance, fun, and adventure" (San Antonio Express-News) following a workaholic... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I loved this story. It all started with a brother helping his little brother out. David Wilding thinks he is in love with a widow with a baby. He can't get along with the baby so he asks his brother to help him. If Jason would watch Amy's child, he could "court" her. When Jason Wilding meets Amy and her son Max, the baby, he falls head over heels in love with Max and Amy as well. There is a slight problem. David has told Amy that Jason is gay. This was a cute story. I love the worlds Jude Deveraux creates. She makes the impossible not only possible but believable.
A good heartwarming tale.

I read The Blessing in one sitting. I was very pleased with the story line and the characters. Every time that I read a book by Ms. Deveraux I feel as though I am sitting with her, drinking a cup of tea and listening to a story that she has to tell. She has the ability to draw us, her readers, into her world while giving us the chance to live a different life through her characters. Some may say that the plot was too unrealistic for their taste but that is what I love about Jude Deveraux's works. Many of her books have themes that are just not possible in reality as we know it. However, the point of reading a book of fiction is to be entertained. I do not need for everything in the books that I read to be grounded in reality because my fantasies are not grounded in reality. I love to escape for a few hours in a good book that touches my heart and makes me dream. To me that is the point of reading. Her books do that for me. This book did that for me. I highly recommend this book to anyone with an open mind and a desire to relax with a wonderful book.
"The Blessing" has made me a fan of Jude Deveraux forever.

The main male character broke my heart because of the deep emotions attributed to him by Jude. Are there really males who feel this strongly or is it only fantasy? I hope not. The main female character seemed realistic 85% of the time.
Absolutely joyful reading.

I found the story line to be touching with some very funny moments that had me rolling. Sometimes it's nice to read a book that isn't complex with several characters in several different plots at each turn of the page. Ms. Devoreaux followed one plot and didn't include too many characters to make it confusing. I can't wait to read more of her work!
Great!
