Ezra Hill knows that the success of the Tuskegee Airmen was based on the airmen's ability to read. He wrote in his book The Black Red Tail Angels, which helped to inspire the film Red Tails, about the journey of his life and how it intertwines with the famed Tuskegee Airmen.
