Right As Rain

Darrin Bainbridge is single, educated, fine and can cook. Salivating? Well stick to your appetizers, `cause this main course has more game than Milton Bradley. While he's honest, the last thing he's looking for is to be tied down with one woman. Maybe the problem is that Darrin hasn't met the woman that God has made for him. Emoni Prentiss is `The Bishop's Daughter.' While she's never thought of herself as outwardly beautiful like her siblings, Emoni is still the full package, yet she's single. Well, technically she could have a man, Oscar, who everyone assumes will be her husband, but he's not the man she wants. She wants something that resembles what she reads in her steamy romance novels. `The Bishop's Daughter,' by Tiffany L. Warren, has got to be one of the best books I've read. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, the flow of the story and the fact that the author wasn't afraid to show that Christians have real issues. This is the first novel I've read by Tiffany L. Warren and I already find myself looking forward to what she has slated to release next. Readers who may stir clear of Christian Fiction for fear that it will be too preachy need not worry, `The Bishop's Daughter,' while it teaches to walk with Jesus, is also dripping in enough sin to blow the roof off the church. The Bishop's Daughter is a very good read

The Bishop's Daughter is a story about Darrin Bainbridge, a writer (and a player) trying to find his big break and break away from Mommy and Daddy's purse strings by finding corruption in the church. He is sure that he'll have no trouble uncovering a big story and his father agrees and funds the trip for him. Darrin's intended target is the Bishop but he winds up falling for the Bishop's daughter Emoni. Will he use the information he uncovers about the Bishop and risk his new found friendship and love with Emoni? Emoni is a woman who feels she will never find her love and considers settling for a man that is nice but she really doesn't have those type of feelings for. She considers herself to be unattractive compared to her siblings but she knows she is smart and has some other fine attributes. The story is told from the perspective of both Darrin and Emoni which I found to be an intersting way to tell this tale. You get to delve into the minds of both the male and femal perspective. Usually you only get to hear the woman's side of the story and it is refreshing to hear the inner thoughts and feelings from the man's side. Especially from a man who considers himeself to be quite wonderful and to hear his thoughts about women in general. It was interesting to hear this truth in a book. I highly recommend this entertaining love story written by this talented author!

The novel, The Bishop's Daughter, is about a young ladies man named Darrin Bainbridge. Trying to jumpstart his writing career, Darrin relocates to Georgia. He attends a twenty-thousand megachurch and tries to find a church scandal. Darrin's target is Bishop Kumal Prentiss, who Darrin suspects of financial misconduct. The turn in the story is that Darrin never expected to fall for the Bishop's daughter, Emoni. When Darrin finally does stumble upon the story of a lifetime, he's torn between lauching his career and protecting the woman he's come to care about. This is a terrific novel that makes you feel you are standing in the middle of the action. Great read! Perfect gift!

terrific inspirational romance

After his mom praised Bishop Kumal Prentiss with increasing fervor, freelance journalist Darrin Bainbridge moves to Atlanta with plans to investigate the celebrity minister. He figures he will not have to dig far to find dirt for a story and in turn obtain accolades from his father. However, Darrin quickly realizes that God works in mysterious ways when Darrin visits Bishop Prentiss' Freedom of Life Church to join the congregation as an undercover reporter. There he meets THE BISHOP'S DAUGHTER Emoni Prentiss. As he falls in love, Darrin uncovers the scandal that would make him famous and get his father's praise, but he must weigh that with being the righteous person his beloved pious Emoni warrants. THE BISHOP'S DAUGHTER is a terrific inspirational romance starring two fully developed wonderful lead characters. This fine duet is nicely supported by solid family members and the congregation. The story line is loaded with scripture as "Honor thy father" becomes increasingly difficult to achieve but the biblical references enhance the tale of love between the cynical undercover reporter and the title character. Their rotating perspective to include his blog augment a delightful realistic romance as doubting Darrin falls in love with the enemy's daughter. Harriet Klausner

Refreshing perspective

)"The Bishop's Daughter" by Tiffany L. Warren is written from a refreshing male perspective! Darren is a self-serving playboy who wants to expose a well-known preacher as a charlatan to get ahead in his career as a journalist. This is a terrific novel with great conflict between the characters and within Darren. The writing is quite sensory! Miss Warren makes you feel, taste and smell the story. I was educated in some new terminology, too. This was an overall enjoyable read with a spiritual message.
