The birds fly: poems

We know there is a hunger for spiritual disciplines, for time spent with God in a meaningful way. When we practice the disciplines of silence, contemplation, solitude and digging deeper into the Bible to discover its amazing transformative power in our lives, we find ourselves feeling stronger, braver and more sure of ourselves and what might lay ahead. We grow more like Christ, who is the Incarnate Word of God and the model we are called to follow in our own lives, this side of heaven. The spiritual disciplines, including good reading and times of reflection, help us go there. So, poetry is also helpful to fostering, strengthening and blessing the life of our soul.

This is my 5th book of poems, exploring the intersections between the daily and divine. The Birds Fly is simply another way of saying, "Let's go there, where we need to go, to be here in a better, more loving and trusting way. Let's live well."
