The kids loved this book and so do I!

This is a fun story that features the unlikely friendship between a bird dog, named Buddy, and a blue bird, named Bertie. Your child will want to read this story over and over, each time reinforcing the ideas of friendship, accepting the differences in others, and forgiveness, which are things this crazy world we find ourselves in these days, can never have enough of. You may even find that your child will be able to cope a little easier with the divisive current, surrounding Covid. In the climax of the story, when Bertie splashes all the water out of the doggie’s bowl, Buddy allows the offense to roll off his back, reminding the reader that unintentional offenses shouldn’t be held on to, but let go. Your little one will have a ton of fun, and just might have a fit of giggles, at the silly time, Buddy and Bertie share. This book, initially seems simplistic, but the underlying complexities of relationships, are brilliantly illuminated, and in a very basic way, offers a very logical method of maintaining, even our most unusual relationships… something more of us adults should take note of, and apply to our own lives. If we all took relationship advice from Buddy the dog, and applied it to our daily lives, we might be able to heal the fractured world we live in. As a side note, and an added benefit of gifting this incredible book to the little one in your life, it will help develop proper enunciation of some of the most difficult sounds, many children have trouble with. Christmas is coming up very quickly, and this book is a “no-brainer,” perfect gift for any child.
