Great Collection

This book has a great variety of writings. The stories are very interesting, and studying the rhymes is a great way to get a more nuanced understanding of Spanish. I use this book to help me improve my Spanish language skills. I am sure the book is good for reading to children, but I purchased it to help me learn to speak Spanish.

Wonderful for the bilingual preschool teacher

This book has many helpful short stories, songs, rhymes, and fingerplays for the preschool teacher that children will enjoy. The drawback to the book is the lack of a CD so that you can hear the songs, however if you are already familiar with many English and Spanish childhood songs this shouldn't be a problem. An example of the tunes that this book uses are "The Alphabet Song," "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," "Do You Know the Muffin Man," "Brilla, Brilla Estrellita," "Are You Sleeping," "I've Been Workin' on the Railroad," "Yankee Doodle," "The Addams Family," and others. Great Book!

I absolutely love this book! I checked it out of the library and now am looking to purchase it to have for myself. The stories etc are great, reminds me of my childhood and I love having the Spanish version on one side, and the English on the other. It's a great way to learn a language.

Full of info

This book have a ton of rhymes, short stories, etc. The boy that cried wolf in spanish and english, tortoise wins a race and many other which I have never heard of. I wish there were tune suggestions with the book because sometimes I can not quite figure out how the song would go. A well planned and organized book, big and full of translated kids stories and rhymes.
