Get ready to be busy

Although this is called a Big Book, fortunately it contains only 46 projects. Why fortunately? Because those 46 projects will keep you busy enough! Starting with Valentine's Day, going through Easter, Hallowe'en, to Christmas, there are many projects, some small and quick to make, others big and more complex, that would suit any crochet fan. The skill level required for each project is provided, so beginners can start with the simple ones such as the Holiday Napkin Cuffs while those really keen to test their skills can go straight to the Christmas Rose Centrepiece. The Easter Egg ornaments are first on my To-Do list, and I'm trying to work out how I can make the Halloween Table Topper with Cat Motifs fit a square table! No brands are quoted for yarns, just the weight and quantity, which will make it easy to select your own - choose something luxurious if you want, or something more robust. This also makes it easy to use all those odd scraps lying around, for things such as the scarecrow toy shown on the front cover. The pictures and diagrams are clear and the print is a very easy size to read, reducing the possibility of missing lines and screwing up the pattern. There is a clear stitch guide at the back There are things I will never make - that's inevitable with any pattern book - such as the Poinsettia toilet roll cover. What's with those? They're right up there with tissue box covers (mercifully absent!). The Santa Claus door stop is sure to be a hit with children and adults alike, and the spider coasters are the perfect gift for an arachniphobe! This book is inside as good as it appears on the outside.

You will never suffer boredom with this book. So many patterns for each month of the year. A fabulous buy!
