Weird Choices

A couple of cool stories in this book, but really not worth the weird parts for me. Almost every woman is treated in a very objectifying way (multiple stories about women being pursued by men double their age, a lot of comments about appearance, and some outright "this man was old enough to be her father, but was determined to make her his wife because of her beauty" things. I also found the art really questionable. This is a theme I've seen in certain children books, where all the heroes have blond hair blue eyes and all the villains have dark hair and eyes. Not a great message to send to small children, whether they look like the hero or the villain - it very explicitly teaches children to be prejudice which I find really gross. Maybe it's unintentional, but that's even more reason to consider those artistic choices/instincts.
