Bible readers can get bogged down in the unfamiliar detail of ancient Scripture, or in wordy descriptions of a commentary. Bible reading is a lighter and more flowing discipline than Bible study. The Bible Reader's Companion is a collection of 1,375 entries, approximately 80 words each. It includes the text's meaning and its application, toward an appreciation of God's revealed Truth. The selected samples are observation centered, many of which stand without comment.
