This is actually a special translation for one hooked on the book. The word usage is different, but so is Phillips, Moffat, Worrell and many others. The name for God used consistently in the OT is Jebovah.
Some dispute the rendering of God in Psalm 58:11 and trash the translation on that account. I've heard that explained by another in rather complicated detail, and am willing to let it go at that. I looked up some tricky passages, which passed muster. Others are offended that the Jehovah Witnesses published it, but they did so because of the use of Jehovah for God throughout the OT.
It is recorded in the beginning that none of the translation is altered from the translator's work, which took him decades. He worked independently. The Witnesses did not renew the copyright when due.
Bible lovers and collectors, along with a dedicated teacher of the word who I heard read from it, enjoy and witness to its flow. I agree.
