The Bible and Egypt's Third Intermediate Period

By: Osgood, John

As a Bible-loving teenager, Dr. John Osgood was driven by one question:

Does history truly confirm the Bible?

What he discovered in mainstream scholarship was unsettling-interpretations that often undermined, rather than affirmed, the authority of Scripture. After decades of study, he became convinced that the issue was not the Bible, but the historical frameworks used to interpret the evidence.

Taking a radically different approach, Dr. Osgood begins with the Bible as the reliable foundation and re-examines archaeology and ancient history in its light.

In this compelling work, he tackles one of the most disputed eras-the Third Intermediate Period of Egypt-offering a bold and original reconstruction that aligns with the biblical record.

Clear, thought-provoking, and deeply researched, this book invites readers to rediscover confidence in Scripture-and to see that faith in God's Word stands on solid ground.
