Collecting Best American Short Stories

I was turned on to short stories back in the '90s. I appreciate the talent that goes into telling a full story in a just a few pages. At that time, I purchased the annual "The Best American Short Stories of 1989," "The Best American Short Stories of 1990," etc. Today, while purchasing current editions, I am slowly collecting all of the books, beginning at the series inception in 1915. I value reading the early stories the most. Many of them are written at present time, so I am able to be transported to life in the 10s, 20s, 30s... I don't love EVERY story, but most are well written, entertaining and memorable.
