Autumn has spent her entire life running away from growing up. She is twenty-six and convinced that the world is terrible, and her ultimate goal in life is to simply hang on by the skin of her teeth until she scrapes up the gall to finally die. But other than that, everything's peachy: she's got a good job, decent apartment, co-workers and a boyfriend that aren't insufferable. There was that bit with the tire iron, but she's more than willing to chock that up to it having been a Wednesday, which she could never quite get the hang of. Yet as a result, she finds herself in a bit of a predicament involving a law suit and some court mandated therapy. Several Wednesdays later she realises something terrible: sometimes, life just doesn't care about your decent grip on reality. Sometimes it refuses to turn out the way that you planned it to, and there are moments where you can tell that everything is about to go to hell. This is about one of those moments.
