This is a science fiction novel set in a dystopian future. A long war between two nations comes to a swift end with the introduction of a bomb that unleashes a devastating virus. The hero of the war, a general, is betrayed and left for dead. When a cure is created, the disgraced general who is now living the life of an outlaw must take on the totalitarian rule of his country to get the cure out to the masses. To do so, he must confront a soldier from his past turned dictator and an oppressive regime that seeks to destroy him.
